Palmstiernas Svenska AB is a company that deliver instrument products and systems for measure, control and survey of processes in the industry.

Company profile


Palmstiernas Svenska AB is a complete dealers of instrument products and systems for measure, control and survey of industry processes. Their range of products consits of well established and high quality products from well known manufacturers. Palmstiernas Svenska AB started in 1991 and have today 12 employees. They have offices in Stockholm, Hammarö and in Värnamo. Their turn over is 35 miljoner SEK (2007).

Situation


When Palmstiernas started their business in 1991 they used the system Hogia for Mac. Hogia was considered slow and inefficient and was replaced in 1994 by HansaWorld Financials. In 2003, Palmstiernas joined their mother company and had to change system to Scala, as the mother company was using that system. Palmstiernas was later, in september 2007, bought out and then they wanted to return to HansaWorld Express in order to achieve better efficiency and utility that they had not experienced in other systems.

Choosing HansaWorld


To once more choose HansaWorld Enterprise as their business solution was evident for Palmstiernas, when they already had experienced they systems great potiential and functionality. A big advantage with HansaWorld Express is all standard reports in all modules. The standard reports makes it more efficient and no editing afterwards is necessary, which have been the issue in previous systems. Another important reason that Palmstiernas chosed HansaWorld Express was that they needed a business solution that was able to handle serial - and batch number.
Palmstiernas is using HansaWorld Express on PC computers. When some of the employees had requirements to work on Mac, they found a solution to work in a Mac environment on PC.
This solution makes it possible to have two screens and draw documents from one screen to another regardless which operation system it is. The fact that HansaWorld Express is a multiplatform system is a great advantage that Palmstiernas ad in mind when they chosed HansaWorld again.

both Mac and PC.

Thanks to a quick installation of HansaWorld, they could replace Scala just in one weeks time. By using HansaWorld Express, Palmstiernas has become much more efficient and has reduced their daily workload and are able to focus on new things. The system has a lot of nice functions. ”It is a great benefit that you can run HansaWorld Express both on Mac and PC”, says Rolf Sundvidsson, MD at Palmstiernas Svenska AB. He also adds that HansaWorld Express is very fast to navigate within and the underlying registers makes it really easy to get information, such as contact info and items, from all the different modules in the system.

Future


In the near future, Palmstiernas is interested in implementing a Webshop. They've got links to other reference customers that uses HansaWorld Webshop and are now looking on different solutions in order to create an opinion of how they would like to build their own. In HansaWorld webshop, everything is integrated, so anytime when a purchase is being made on the web, the items will be removed from stock and the stock history is updated immediately and the customers order will appear in the system. This reduces the manual labour and you get the possibility to focus on other tasks.
